The mission is to deliver innovative solutions and readiness to the nation and its warfighter through application of their technical capabilities.  John Tamplin, Seafloor Systems' CEO said, "This is our first CRADA with the NSWC.  We are excited about the opportunity to share the progress we've made in the design, construction, and operation of unmanned surface vehicles.  We are also eager to learn from the very talented and experienced team at NSWC-Crane. Together, we plan to develop, test, and deliver new capabilities at affordable prices for the US Navy."

Silent Swarm 2024 Overview

Silent Swarm 2024, sponsored by the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, Integrated Sensing and Cyber (OUSD R&E (IS&C)), aims to explore the research, development, and employment of EMSO capabilities on small, unmanned platforms. This two-week event is led by NSWC Crane in partnership with the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic Division (NIWC-LANT), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Army C5ISR Center, Air Force Test Center, and the Michigan National Guard. Silent Swarm 2024 will be held at the National All-Domain Warfighting Center (NADWC) providing an operationally relevant environment for innovators to test new iterations while military and civilian electronic warfare (EW) experts onsite across Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy provide direct feedback to industry about the operational challenges warfighters face. Marcos Barrera, Lead Robotics and AI Research Engineer for Seafloor Systems said, "We look forward to collaborating with NSWC Crane, NIWC and the diverse set of initiatives and teams at Silent Swarm. All the collective knowledge and rapid innovation at this event will not only foster partnerships and future endeavors but will enhance our ability to refine our R&D roadmap to align to the direct needs of the warfighter."
