We've added a weed-control drone to our lineup! Introducing the WeeDrone™.
A close relative of our small survey craft, the WeeDrone can be remotely controlled or programmed to autonomously dispense weed control chemicals into the water (algaecides) and along the shore (herbicides).
The one-man-portable platform can carry 2 x 2.5 gallon jugs of solution and is ideal for golf courses, hotel resorts, and other commercial developments with large ponds.

Collision Avoidance Assist (CAA)
Seafloor has developed an industry-disrupting Collision Avoidance Assist (CAA) add-on for integration on future unmanned survey vessels. The system's main components include an onboard computer and LiDAR to navigate around both stationary & moving objects. With a 25 meter awareness radius, the introductory-level system reduces human navigation errors, increases data acquisition efficiency, and overall - protects your instruments during survey missions.
Seafloor is configuring the CAA system to be modular, so that future software iterations and instruments can be added depending on the desired level of function. Currently, there is no other low-cost collision avoidance package on the market that can be mounted into mid-sized unmanned vessels like the EchoBoat-160 and EchoBoat-240. This development brings even more hands-off capabilities to our line of survey vessels so you can spend more time collecting precision data. Coming Q1 2021.
Low cost, effective collision avoidance system
Performs well in inclement weather
Intuitive updates, less tech support needed during ownership
Ouster LiDAR sensors are designed for 100,000 hours of continuous use. Water-proof, robust to shock and vibration, and temperature rated from -40 ºC to +55 ºC.
Adjustable avoidance distance up to 25 m / 82 ft
CAA computing offloaded to companion computer to reduce load on data collection computer
Does not affect radio control mode
Onboard LiDAR can record data to create full 3D scans of survey area
Your Responsibility for the Proper Operation of Your Vessel:
CAA (Collision Avoidance Assist) performs the functions of obstacle avoidance designed for use in compatible vessels. While using CAA, it is your responsibility to ensure that you follow instructions for use of service and exercise good judgment. Access to and use of CAA is at your own risk and responsibility, and CAA should be accessed and/or used only when you can do so safely. CAA does not alleviate the need for human in the loop observation. It is designed to assist the vessel operator who must remain aware of navigation and surroundings at all times. Vessel must be operated by a fully attentive driver that is prepared to take over at any moment.
Applications: Inspection / survey of mines, sewage treatment plants, contaminated lakes, and rivers.
Applications: Inspection / survey of mines, sewage treatment plants, contaminated lakes, harbors and swift-moving rivers.
Applications: Inspection / survey of lakes, harbors, large rivers, rough nearshore environments, water quality research, tidal zones.
Applications: Quickly measures and logs depths more accurately than standard systems, making fast work of ponds, rivers, lakes, and more.
