       Multibeam Training Course.

 

Seafloor Systems Inc. will be holding a 5-day hands-on training class in the fall of 2008. The class will include 28 hours of classroom instruction on components, setup, and processing of multibeam data. And 8 hours of on the boat experience running multibeam acquisition systems and navigation programs. Limited space is available, fill out our online registration form to secure your spot. The class will be held from 8:00 am to 5:00pm on October 27-31 at Lake Natoma Inn in Folsom, CA. Just a half hour East of Sacramento. The Sacramento Airport (SMF) is reachable non-stop on these major airlines. Alaska, Continental, Delta, Jet Blue, United ,or Southwest. For those who are driving, Sacramento is between The bay area and Reno on US interstate 80.

The multibeam training course will include basic instruction on:

  • Multibeam system components
  • Sensor setup and communication
  • Multibeam Patch test
  • Acquisition software introductions (Hypack and Kongsberg-Simrad SIS)
  • Data processing in Hypack Hysweep and Caris HIPS/SIPS
  • Survey setup and planning
    Onboard topics:
  • Setup and System Functions
  • SVP Cast
  • Multibeam Patch Test
  • Hypack line planning and navigation
  •  

    The five day training session is $2500 and includes:

    • 28 Hours of classroom instruction
    • 8 Hours of hands-on training on survey vessel
    • Breakfast, Lunch, and Coffee at breaks provided in the classroom.
    • Transportion round trip from the classroom to vessel site
    • Powerpoint slides CD with classroom notes
    • Course certificate of completion
